Family Farm Expo Poultry Vendor Guidelines
Welcome to the Family Farm Expo! We're excited to have you showcase your poultry at the upcoming expo. To ensure the health and safety of all birds and attendees, we've established guidelines and criteria for our poultry vendors.
Participation Criteria
To participate in the Family Farm Expo as a poultry vendor, your practices must adhere to the following criteria:
Biosecurity measures for entering and exiting, area access, and equipment are in place.
Effective flock containment and illness response procedures are practiced.
The ability to provide information on bird lineage, origin, health management practices, and vaccination status.
Compliance with local and national poultry health regulations.
Breeders must have 30 birds to participate, those with less than 50 birds are considered a Mini Hatcher (see more info in FAQ)
All birds must be 16 weeks old or younger. Exception: NPIP breeders can bring and sell birds of any age.
Submission and Review Process
All poultry vendors must complete the Poultry Information Form at the bottom of this page. Our poultry health advisement team will review the submissions. If any concerns arise, we will contact the vendor for further clarification.
Vendors whose practices do not meet our criteria and cannot make necessary adjustments will be excluded from the event and provided a full refund for their space.
Why are we asking for this information?
At Roobeez, our primary goal is to provide a neutral platform that ensures the safe and secure vending of livestock for both vendors/breeders and end customers. We are dedicated to promoting transparency and disclosure for the benefit of all parties.
We encourage our vendors to provide comprehensive information about the health, background, and breeder guidelines and practices related to any livestock they offer.
While we appreciate the diversity in breeding practices, we also prioritize the implementation of foundational infrastructures that align with best practices for vending livestock. Therefore, we require our breeders to meet these basic standards to ensure the animals' well-being and customers' satisfaction.
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines. For questions, please contact us at eventsteam@roobeez.com.
Poultry Vendor FAQs
-
While NPIP certification is highly regarded, it is not a requirement for participating as a poultry vendor at the Family Farm Expo.
NPIP breeder perk: NPIP breeders can bring birds of any age to show and sell at the expo.
-
Our minimum for poultry breeders is at least 50 chicks to have a designated 10x10 or 10x20 space. For breeders with 30-50 chicks, we offer a Mini Hatchers program, which is a discounted space that is shared with another Mini Hatcher breeder (these are smaller than the full 10x10 booths). All poultry breeders must have at least 30 chicks to participate.
-
All poultry presented at the expo, whether for showcase or sale, must be 16 weeks or younger. Exception: NPIP breeders can bring birds of any age.
-
We do not mandate specific licenses for our vendors. However, it is crucial that all vendors operate in full compliance with local business laws and regulations.
-
Vaccinations are not mandatory, but transparency about the vaccination status of your birds is required.
Please inform us and potential buyers whether your birds are vaccinated, the diseases they are vaccinated against, and your practices for managing vaccinated versus unvaccinated birds.
-
Poultry vendors must adhere to stringent biosecurity measures, pass our approval process based on a detailed information form, and only offer birds under 16 weeks old. Exception: NPIP breeders can bring birds of any age.

Roobeez aims to protect the community and surrounding livestock as much as possible while empowering attendees to make informed decisions through transparency and detailed disclosures.
